About The Team
Orian Barki (Director) is a director and editor from Israel, based in New York who has directed short films for Nowness, I-D, NY Times, Adidas, American Eagle and many more. Her film work includes a film for Dazed about young people effected by sexting and a short film about Princess Nokia for The Fader. She has worked extensively with Destiny, on campaigns for Urban Outfitters, MadeMe, and Vogue. Her short documentary “Jordan Casteel Paints Her Community” (2017) screened at DOC NYC film festival. She recently directed a short documentary series for Vogue magazine, where each episode tells a bad love story by a female celebrity including Issa Rae and Bria Vinaite. This film will mark Orian’s 3rd collaboration with Princess Nokia.
Dan Sickles and Antonio Santini (Co-Directors & Producers) are the internationally-acclaimed directing duo behind Dina (2017) and Mala Mala (2015). After picking up an Audience Award at the TriBeCa Film Festival in 2014, Mala Mala received rave reviews, with Wesley Morris calling it “one of the richest most emotionally complicated portraits of identity I’ve ever seen.” The duo went on to receive the Grand Jury Prize at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival for Dina, as well as the top prize at the International Documentary Association that same year.
Tabs Breese (Producer) is a Brit living in LA. Having worked in unscripted development at production companies including Pulse Films and Concordia Studio, she left to pursue a career as an independent producer. Recent credits include Field Producer on Second Coming about artist D’Angelo (TriBeca 2019) and Development Producer on investigative feature doc Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator (Toronto 2019) about the disgraced hot yoga guru. Tabs was one of the Sheffield Documentary Festival’s ‘Future Producers’ of 2017.
