We know it's tough out there, so if you've got a great film, organization or project that shares our mission we may be able to help.               

Cinereach offers grant awards to film projects and organizations using the power of film to:

* Provide insight and stimulate dialogue that leads to positive change
* Challenge prejudice and work towards universal human rights
* Empower individuals and communities to work toward global unity

Grants are awarded to both documentary and narrative film projects at any stage: development, production, post-production, outreach and/or distribution. Film projects that are consistent with Cinereach’s ethos favor good storytelling over didacticism, complexity over traditional duality. Cinereach-supported films demonstrate creativity, visual artistry and take a character-based approach.

The Cinereach grant committee meets twice a year to review grant applications and assign awards. Application for a Cinereach grant begins with a 2-page letter of inquiry. Cinereach is now accepting letters of inquiry for its February 2009 grant cycle.

Please include the following information in your 2-page letter of inquiry:

* Legal name and contact information of the individual or organization
* Mission and purpose of the organization or project and its consistency with Cinereach's mission
* Total project budget, and the amount and proposed uses of a Cinereach grant award
* Anticipated impact of the requested grant award
* Qualifications of the individuals involved in the project. If an organization, qualifications of key leadership and staff

Only letters received by December 1, 2008 will be considered for our next grant cycle in February 2009.
